NEW FOSSILS ACQUISITION
Going on tour, is Calum Anton's donation of fossils, at next week's AGM and, we plan, many subsequent events. The Friends will be very willing to take the collection, or a section of it, on tour to venues of any organisations with an interest in natural history, of all ages. We are particulary hoping to receive requests from schools, since young people cannot start their interest too early!
We received this collection in January of this year, since when it has been boxed and is now in the care of our Events Organiser, Gavin Berkenheger. It was exhibited for the first time at the Inverness Science Festival on 5th May at the city's Leisure Centre, and attracted the visit of scores of families (see Hugh's News No 35, Summer 2018).
