The Hugh Miller Writing Competition
The Hugh Miller Writing Competition (HMWC) closed after three rounds in 2020. The prize-winners in the 2019/20 competition can be enjoyed in our magazine Hugh's News (Issues No 43, May 2020, and 44, July 2020) in the MAGAZINE section.
An anthology of the winning entries in the first two Miller competitions, entitled Conversations in Stone, is reviewed by author James Robertson in our Cabinet of Curiosites page, and can be obtained through the Edinburgh Geological Society : Geological Excursion Guides - Edinburgh Geological Society (edinburghgeolsoc.org)
